Davia B. Temin is President and CEO of Temin and Company Incorporated, international reputation and crisis management, strategic marketing, media and public affairs counsel.

Temin and Company is a boutique management consultancy focused on reputation and crisis management, marketing and media strategy, thought leadership creation, and leadership and communications coaching. We work with over 20 CEOs around the world, on the coaching level, and with Boards and C-suites globally on crisis and reputational issues -- anything from product recalls to government investigations, to accidents, criminal behavior, and market-based challenges.

Clients include some of the world’s largest and most well-known corporations, financial institutions, pharmaceutical companies, law firms, consulting firms, publishing houses, private equity and hedge funds, high tech and biotech companies, foundations and universities, as well as politicians, corporate board directors, chairmen and CEOs, sports figures, authors and scientists.

In addition, Ms. Temin serves as the spokesperson for major organizations during crisis, is a frequent and popular public speaker, and advises worldwide corporations on the strategic direction of their women's councils. She runs and moderates popular corporate programs including, most recently, “How to Survive, Thrive and Add Value During Difficult Times.” She has appeared as a guest on “ABC Now,” “The CBS Evening News,” CNN’s “Your Money,” CNBC’s “The Business District,” Fox Evening News, ABC’s “Good Morning America,” and numerous other local and national television shows around the world.

Prior to starting Temin and Company, Ms. Temin was Corporate Vice President and head of Corporate Marketing for GE Capital, the global, diversified, financial services company with 27 specialized businesses and assets of over $250 billion, Schroders Investment Bank, Scudder Stevens and Clark, and Citicorp Investment Bank, as well as Director of Public Affairs of Columbia Business School. She created and was the Producer of the extremely successful entertainment industry conference "The Business of Entertainment: The Big Picture."

An Honors graduate of Swarthmore College, she attended Columbia University for her Masters Degree. In September of 1994, Ms. Temin was appointed Special Advisor to the President of Swarthmore College, to aid the college in handling strategic public affairs issues. She was appointed to the Board of Managers of the College as of January 1, 1995, and was named Chair of the College’s Long Range Planning Committee on Visibility and Leadership in Higher Education in 1997.

Currently, she serves on the national Boards of Trustees of: The Girl Scouts of the United States of America (nominated First Vice Chair of The Board, beginning October, 2008); The White House Project (Secretary), Women's ENews (Chair of the Board), Video Volunteers (Secretary), the Soma Foundation and the Kaufman Cultural Center. She is on the Boards of Advisors of the Lauder family’s Institute for the Study of Aging and its Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation and the Knight-Bagehot Fellowship Program of Columbia University. Formerly, she was on the Goldman Sachs Investment Management Divisions’ Advisory Board on Women’s Financial Research and she has been a Marketing Columnist for, and was on the Advisory Board of, Office.com.

She is the past President of The Public Relations Society: New York and a current member of The Economic Club, The Overseas Press Club, The Women Presidents Organization, The National Investor Relations Institute, and The International Women’s Forum.

On October 31st, 2007, Ms. Temin was honored by The Girl Scouts of New York as their Woman of Distinction for 2007. In November of 2008, she will lead the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) Crisis Management Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. She is currently writing a book on crisis management.

Ms. Temin is featured in the book Wall Street Women, published by Alfred A. Knopf, as well as several other books, and is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.
