Bio

Kathlyn Hendricks, PhD, is the CEO and Training Director of The Hendricks Institute and its charitable arm, Foundation for Conscious Living, both of which she co-founded. She is a professional consultant, trainer, and coach with 50 years of experience guiding individuals and organizations in the US, Europe, and Asia in organizational development, relationship development, and somatic psychology. In her role as Training Director, she designs and conducts trainings for therapists, coaches, corporate managers and individuals. She is at the forefront of research and studies focused on fear, its role in the lives of individuals and groups, and somatic practices which can be used to ameliorate fear.

Dr. Hendricks is recognized as a pioneer and an expert in the fields of body intelligence and conscious loving. She has consulted on relationship transformation with many hundreds of individuals, families, and corporations over the past 50 years. Her trailblazing work is recognized as at the forefront of relationship transformation, and many of the relationship books she has co-authored over the years are regarded as classics of the genre, including Centering and the Art of Intimacy (Englewood Cliffs, N.J.: Prentice-Hall, 1983), Conscious Loving: the Journey to Co-Commitment (New York: Bantam, 1990), Radiance: Breathwork, Movement Therapy and Body-Centered Psychotherapy (Berkeley: Wingbow Press, 1991), At the Speed of Life (New York: Bantam, 1994), The Conscious Heart (New York: Bantam, 1997), and Conscious Loving Ever After: How to Create Thriving Relationships at Midlife and Beyond (Carlsbad, CA: Hay House, 2015).

Dr. Hendricks has appeared twice on the Oprah Winfrey Show, appeared on CBS 48 Hours, and was interviewed on Goop. She has a weekly podcast called "Be.Play.Love" with a longtime friend and colleague, and is a frequent guest on podcasts and summits.
