Leigh VanHandel is an Associate Professor of Music Theory and Music Cognition at Michigan State University. She holds degrees from Ohio State University, Stony Brook, and Stanford University. Her main areas of interest are music theory and music cognition, where she focuses on relationships between language and music, and how the brain processes music.
