Bio

Stanford-educated philosopher turned sex coach, Irene Fehr, MA, CPCC, is a fresh voice and an emerging expert in the field of women's sexual health and the female libido. Known for honest portrayals of her experiences from sexless marriage to sexual fulfillment, she creates a safe space for authentic conversations, education and personal exploration around this sensitive subject.

Finding herself without a libido and in a sexless marriage at age 27, Irene embarked on a journey to understand her own sexuality. Her experience stirred her heart and inspired her to break the epidemic of women losing their libido in long-term relationships (as many as 1 in 3 women) and help women and couples find sexual fulfillment.

In her private practice in Denver, CO, Irene focuses on helping women reverse low libido and painful sex. She guides clients to get in touch with what feels pleasurable in their bodies, understand their own arousal anatomy, and feel confident with their desires — focusing on how to have sex for their pleasure, which is key to having a sustained libido throughout women's lives. In her work with couples, Irene provides tools to create safety and intimacy in the relationship so that both partners are able to open up, connect and explore what turns them on.

Irene is a frequent contributor to the Huffington Post and her articles have been syndicated across the world and in other publications, including ScaryMommy, ThoughtCatalog and YourTango. She is an often-referenced expert in Bustle and Elite Daily around the topics of sex and intimacy. An eloquent public speaker, Irene presents about pleasure and the female libido at events focused on women's health and wellness across the country. You can find her across social media under @ignitedwoman and on her website www.irenefehr.com.
