Bio

Lisa Chen, LMFT is the founder and Executive Director of Lisa Chen & Associates Therapy, the South Bay’s boutique psychotherapy practice for high achievers, executives, and professionals. With a background at Wharton and Harvard Business School and early career experience in investment banking and technology, Lisa knows the unrelenting pace and invisible costs of high-stakes industries. After confronting her own burnout, she transitioned into psychotherapy to help leaders and innovators redefine strength—not by carrying more, but by learning how to heal.

Her clients include CEOs, CFOs, and senior leaders at Amazon, Google, SpaceX, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, BCG, and KPMG, as well as professional athletes in the NFL and NHL, physicians, and attorneys. Lisa is known for creating proprietary therapeutic protocols that integrate neuroscience-based modalities such as EMDR and Internal Family Systems with psychodynamic depth—helping clients break free from imposter syndrome, perfectionism, and burnout while restoring clarity, resilience, and connection in both work and personal life.

A frequent speaker and trainer, Lisa has presented her interventions at Stanford University, CalTech, Antioch University, and Airport Marina Counseling Service (AMCS). She has been featured on CNN, Salon, and XM Radio, and is regularly called upon for her insights into the psychology of success and the ripple effects of achievement on families and relationships.
