Melissa Taaffe, B.A., E.N.P.

Melissa Taaffe is a Professor in the 9-1-1 Emergency and Call Centre Communications program at Durham College. She previously worked as an emergency communicator in 3 different emergency call centres around the Greater Toronto Area. She is a certified instructor with APCO International and Emergency Management Ontario, and is also an accredited Emergency Number Professional certified through NENA. Melissa has also authored 9-1-1 Communications testing for several websites and has built her own site, 911Professor.com, to help candidates interested in 9-1-1 Communications careers.
