I’m the head of creative strategy and editorial director at The Atlantic, where I service all brand partners and work across marketing, product, and editorial. My background includes leading brand strategy and growing the subscription business at the Toronto Star, writing and editing features at HuffPost, analyzing and developing audiences at The Trace, and producing award-winning content at Sid Lee. I'm also industry faculty at NYU's Studio 20, helping masters students at the intersection of journalism and tech provide actionable solutions to real-life media orgs (this past semester we worked with The City NYC; previously we’ve worked with the Boston Globe). My work blends strategy, product, audience, tech and content in service of growth and revenue, and I’m particularly interested in how the journalism industry is innovating sustainable revenue models for the future information and news landscape. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Science from Columbia University in journalism. Bylines include HuffPost, The Trace, Roads & Kingdoms, and Narratively and more.
