Sabrina Lamb is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Wekeza. Wekeza is a U.S.-based Black-owned fintech that democratizes access to financial fluency and investing for the African diaspora. Wekeza means ‘invest’ in Swahili.

Lamb is a global advocate for financial inclusion and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of WorldofMoney, the leading provider of 120 immersive in-person and online hours of youth financial education, graduating over 7,000 youth, ages 7 - 18. She created the WorldofMoney mobile app and WorldofMoneyOnline in the United States, Senegal, and ten countries. Lamb is the author of national magazine cover stories and six best-selling books including the NAACP Image Awards nominated “Do I Look Like An ATM? A Parent’s Guide to Raising Financially Educated African-American Children” (Outstanding Literary Work-Instructional).

Lamb has received numerous financial education, economic empowerment and leadership awards including from Congressmembers Gregory Meeks and Josh Gottheimer, National Council of 100 Black Women (Bergen/Passaic), NBC News/The Grio 100 and Essence Magazine’s Shining Moments: “50 Women Who Made Us Proud”, Rainbow Push/Wall Street Project Honors, the State Farm’s National Dream Achiever Award and was the Grand Marshal for the African-American Heritage Day Parade. Wekeza is the Grand Prize Winner of the Silicon Harlem C-Better Pitch Competition.

APPEARANCES

Lamb has presented during national and global conferences, including the Fintech Islands Summit, Africa Tech Summit, Silicon Harlem, Seamless Africa Summit, Haiti Tech Summit, Harlem Tech Summit, and the global Money 20/20 conference. She is a WBLS-FM “Open Line Online” co-host. She covered three Democratic National Conventions and presidential inaugurations. She co-hosted radio programs on New York City’s 1600 WWRL and WRKS-FM. A former actor and stand-up comedian, Lamb starred in Lifetime Television’s “Girls’ Night Out” and NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” She is a three-time finisher of the New York City Marathon.
